I chose Redbud Property Inspections because I wanted a thorough inspection before purchasing my home. Unfortunately, my experience left me very disappointed.After closing, I discovered several plumbing issues that were not identified during the inspection. When I contacted Redbud, I wasn’t looking for someone to accept responsibility for hidden conditions—I simply wanted an objective review of whether something observable had been overlooked.Redbud agreed to send someone back out, but the follow-up felt like nothing more than a box-checking exercise. The inspector turned on the water, timed how long it took to get warm, and quickly concluded there wasn’t much to visually inspect. He did not meaningfully evaluate or address the specific issues my licensed plumber had already identified or discuss whether those conditions should have been noted during the original inspection.Throughout the process, I felt the company was more focused on defending the original report than genuinely investigating my concerns. Every response emphasized the limitations of a visual inspection rather than whether the inspection had met my reasonable expectations as a homeowner.I understand that home inspections are non-invasive and can’t uncover every hidden issue. However, I expected a more thorough evaluation and a more customer-focused approach when legitimate concerns were raised afterward.
